Committee scope of work

The VR Rules Advisory Committee (RAC) reviews administrative rules and gives feedback and recommendations on the following:

  • Are the rules clear and understandable?
  • What impact will the rules have on VR clients?
  • How do the rules affect business, particularly small businesses?
  • How do the rules affect underserved racial and ethnic communities and Tribal communities?

Time commitment

The committee meets on the fourth Monday of each month from 3 to 4 p.m. The meeting might be extended depending on the work to be done. Committee members can expect to spend one to two hours before the meeting to read and review proposed rules.

How to apply

Apply to be a RAC volunteer
  • We welcome members of historically underrepresented racial and ethnic communities, women, veterans and LGBTQIA2S+ community members to apply.
  • We prioritize applications from individuals who have personally experienced barriers to employment related to a disability, or who understand through experience employment barriers for people with disabilities.
