Spring has sprung!  Keep a sharp lookout for debris and obstructions in the water, and start out slow. 
Use extreme caution when boating.

 
Winter conditions. Please be prepared that many recreation sites & roads have experienced a significant amount of rain, and ice, have downed trees, or are under substantial snow. Plan ahead and be aware of flooding in the areas you travel through. The Forest Service recommends that if you encounter 3 inches or more of snow, it's a good idea to turn around as conditions are not likely to improve.

Agency Lake

  • Henzel and Petric Park's boat ramps are open, weather weather-dependent.

 Alsea River

  • River levels have made the river unsafe to navigate between the Mill Creek boat launch and Campbell Park, due to a submerged log near the surface.

 Applegate Reservoir

  • UPDATE: French Gulch boating access site is open year-round. Water is approximately 55 feet over the end of the ramp. The gravel road and ramp provide low-water access for fall and winter use of the reservoir.
  • UPDATE: Copper ramp is a primitive boat launch that consists of a paved roadbed leading into the lake, the pavement turns to dirt as the reservoir recedes. The water is approximately seven feet below the bottom of the ramp.
  • Hart-Tish ramp is closed for the season.

 Badger Lake

  • The Badger Lake campground and paddle access is closed for the season.

 Big Lake

  • Big Lake West, Big Lake campgrounds, and Big Lake Day Use boating access sites are closed for the season.

 Blue Lake

 Blue River Reservoir

  • Lookout boat ramp is open year-round for carry-down paddle access, dependent upon weather conditions. Water is more than 100 feet below the bottom of the ramp.
  • Mona Campground and Saddle Dam boat ramps are closed for the season.

 Bradley Lake

  • Bradley Lake boat ramp is open.

 Brownlee Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Farewell Bend State Park is open for day use year-round. The water level is approximately 25 feet above the bottom of the boat ramp.
  • UPDATE: Moonshine Mine boat ramp is open, weather permitting. There is approximately 42 feet of water at the bottom of the boat ramp.
  • UPDATE: The Hewitt low-water ramp is open year-round. There is approximately 24 feet of water at the end of the ramp. The Hewitt Park campground, day use boat ramp, moorage and fishing docks are closed.
  • The Spring Recreation Campground is open year-round, weather permitting. The main ramp is closed for the season.
  • The Holcomb Park boat ramp is closed for the season.

 Bully Creek Reservoir

  • The park is closed for the season.

 Carmen Smith Reservoir

  • The closure has been extended to the spring of 2025.

 Chetco River

  • UPDATE: Alfred A. Loeb State Park access to the gravel bar is open. There is a drop off on the access to the gravel bar. 
  • Miller Bar, Nook Bar, Redwood Bar, and South Fork Campgrounds and Day Use areas have large drop offs on the access to the gravel bar.

 Chickahominy Reservoir

  • The boat ramp is open year-round, however check water levels before trailering your boat.

 Clackamas River

  • Moore Creek and Hole-in-the-Wall Boat Access sites are open year-round.

 Clear Lake (Linn County)

  • Clear Lake Resort is open year-round. 

 Coast Fork-Willamette River

 Columbia River

  • ADVISORY: Effective Oct 21, 2023 – May 7, 2024, Migratory Bird/Waterfowl hunting season will begin on Sat. Oct 21, 2023, at Rooster Rock and Dalton Point on the river beaches below the high-water mark.  Please be aware of hunters while recreating in this area.
  • The restroom building at Chinook Landing is closed while sewer repairs are assessed. Portable restrooms are available. The pumpout and dump stations were winterized. Boating access is open.
  • Port of The Dalles boating access and short-term tie-up dock are open. The pumpout and dump station are closed for the season. The marine fuel station is operated by the Yacht Club and offers both diesel and gasoline.
  • Rooster Rock day use is open year-round. The launch ramp is only usable during higher river flows due to heavy sedimentation. 
  • The City of St. Helens Courthouse Docks are open, but water service will be turned off for the winter. The pumpout and dump station are still operating.
  • M. James Gleason boating access is open. The pumpout and dump stations were winterized.
  • Hat Rock State Park is open.
  • Hammond and Warrenton Marinas are open.
  • Irrigon Marina is open and the pumpout station is operational. For the latest information, call (541) 922-3225 or (541) 571-5725.

 Cooper Creek Reservoir

  • Cooper Creek East and West boat ramps are open, weather permitting.

 Coos Bay

  • The Empire Boat Ramp docks have been removed for the season. The ramp is still open.
  • North Spit docks are not installed and there is significant sand at the bottom of the ramp.
  • The California Street boat ramp is open.

 Coos River

  • Myrtle Tree boat ramp is open year-round.

 Coquille River

  • UPDATE: Coquille and Arago Boat Ramps are closed due to high water.
  • Sturdivant Park's boat ramp and docks are open, Water levels are tidally influenced. The fish cleaning station is available for use.
  • Riverton boat ramp is open.

 Cottage Grove Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Lakeside Boat Ramp is open year-round. There is approximately 15 feet of water over the end of the ramp.  Wilson Creek boat ramp is closed for the season.

 Cougar Reservoir

  • Slide Creek Campground and Echo Park are closed for the season.

 Crane Prairie

  • Crane Prairie Day Use boating access is open, depending on weather, and the reservoir is 87% full. The Forest Service does not plow or maintain roads or parking lots during winter conditions. 
  • Browns Mountain boating access has a shallow slope with four-inch gaps between concrete planks. The location on the reservoir provides for calmer water and is a great place for paddlers to explore.
  • Quinn River boat launch is open, weather depending. The ramp has a shallow slope, and the asphalt approach is damaged and breaking apart.
  • Crane Prairie Resort and Marina, Rock Creek boating access and Cow Meadow are closed for the season.

 Crescent Lake

  • Crescent Lake and Spring Campgrounds and boat launches are closed for the season.

 Crump Lake

 Crystal Creek

  • Malone Springs boat launch is closed to trailers through March. Hand launching is still available. Rocky Point ramp on Recreation Creek is about ten-minute drive south and trailered boats can use the boat ramp.

 Cultus Lake

  • Cultus Lake Day Use and boating site are closed for the season. Big Cove, West Cultus, and Little Cove Boat-In Campgrounds and Cultus Lake Campground, Resort and Marina are closed for the season.

 Davis Lake

  • East Davis Lake campground and boat launch is closed.

 Deadhorse Lake

  • Deadhorse Lake Campground and the ramp are open. The water system is shut off for the season. Contact Paisley Ranger District at 541-943-3114 for current conditions.

 Depot Slough

  • The Port of Toledo docks and pumpout are open.

 Deschutes River

  • Bull Bend, Wyeth, and Cow Meadow Campground and boating access sites are closed for the season.
  • Heritage Landing and Tenino boat launches are open year-round.

 Detroit Lake

  • Mongold low water boat ramp water elevations are at the bottom of the ramp. 
  • Kane's Marina, Cove Creek, Hoover, Southshore, Detroit State Park D and G ramps, F and H moorage are closed for the season. Detroit State Campground is open year-round.

 Devil's Lake

  • Devil's Lake State Recreation Area is closed for the season.

 Dexter Reservoir

  • Lowell and Dexter State Park boat ramps are open and water is approximately 8 feet above the bottom of the ramps.

 Diamond Lake

  • South Shore boating access is closed for the season.

 Dorena Reservoir

  • Harms Park boat ramp and Baker Bay boat ramp and Marina are closed for the season.

 Dog Lake

  • Dog Lake Campground and boat launch are open year-round. It is currently in winter status with reduced services.

 East Lake

  • Paulina Lake Road is closed at the ten-mile snow park gate. East Lake and Cinder Hill Campgrounds are closed.

 Eel Lake

  • William M. Tugman State Park boat launch and kayak launch are open year-round.

 Emigrant Lake

  • Both North and West boat ramps are closed.

 Estacada Lake

  • Timber Park's nonmotorized boat launch is seasonally closed.

 Fall Creek Reservoir

 Fern Ridge Reservoir

  • Orchard Point Marina, Perkins Peninsula, and Richardson Park Marina are closed for the season.

 Foster Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Sunnyside Park day use, and boating access is open year-round. Water levels are fluctuating at the bottom of the boat ramp. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting.
  • Calkins Park, Gedney Creek Boat Ramps and Lewis Creek are closed for the season.

 Fourmile Lake

  • Fourmile Lake Campground and boat ramp are in winter status with no services provided. Check snow levels before attempting access.

Galesville Reservoir

  • Chief Miwaleta ramp is open. Access is weather dependent.

 Garrison Lake (Port Orford)

  • 12th Street boat ramp and Pinehurst gravel ramp are open. Pinehurst is a great access site for paddlecraft to explore the lake.

Green Peter Reservoir

Haystack Reservoir

  • The West Shore and Crooked River Campground boating access sites are closed for the season.

Heart Lake

  • Heart Lake Landing is open and in winter status with reduced services. The Forest Service website currently lists this site as open with seasonal closure dependent on weather and water levels. Contact Bly Ranger District: (541) 353-2427 for current conditions.

Hells Canyon Reservoir

  • Drinking water has been turned off at all campsites. Water is available from faucets at the restrooms. RV dump stations are open, water hoses are shut off. Fish cleaning station is closed. Visitors Center is closed.
  • Copperfield boat launch open. Drinking water and fish cleaning stations are shut off for the season. Access is weather dependent.

 Henry Hagg Lake

  • Ramp A and C have more than 20 feet of water over the end of the boat ramps.

 Hills Creek Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Packard Creek Campground is closed for the season. The Day Use Boat Ramp is open, and water is approximately 20 feet over the end of the ramp. Bingham and CT Beach boating access water levels are more than 40 feet below the bottom of the boat ramps. Carry down access is not recommended because of steep terrain and uneven surfaces.

 Holbrook Reservoir

 Howard Prairie Reservoir

  • The boat launches, Marina, and gas pumps are closed for the season, except for the dirt carry-down by the dam. The reservoir is 36% full.

 Hyatt Lake

  • Wildcat Campground and Mountain View Boat Ramps are closed for the season. The reservoir is 46% full.

Kilchis River

  • UPDATE: Mapes Creek boat launch is closed.  The ramp was damaged during the December high-water event.

 Lake Billy Chinook

  • Crooked River Day Use and Upper Deschutes Day Use boat ramps are open year-round. The lake will be two feet lower this winter. Beware of submerged hazards such as rocks and stumps.
  • Perry South campground, Lower Deschutes Day Use, and Cove Palisades Resort and Marina are closed for the season.  The Floating Restrooms at Deschutes, Metolius, and Kettle Falls are closed for the season. As well as the pumpout and dump station at the Cove Palisades Marina.

Lake Harriet

 Lake of the Woods

 Lake Owyhee Reservoir

  • Gordon Gulch boat ramp is open year-round. There is currently approximately 30 feet of water over the bottom of the boat ramp.
  • Indian Creek boat ramp is open, weather and water level permitting. There is currently approximately 46 feet of water over the bottom of the boat ramp.
  • Leslie Gulch boat ramp is open, dependent upon the weather. Water is fluctuating at the bottom of the boat ramp. Contact Vale District Bureau of Land Management for more up-to-date information (541) 473-3144.
  • McCormack boat ramp is closed for the season.

 Lake Simtustus

  • Pelton Park Marina is closed for the season. The boat launch remains open.

 Lava Lake

  • Lava Lake campground, boating access, Lava Lake Resort and Marina are closed for the season.

 Little Cultus Lake

  • Little Cultus Campground is closed for the season.

 Little Lava Lake

  • Little Lava Lake Campground and boat launch are closed for the season.

 Lofton Reservoir

  • Lofton Reservoir is open year-round and is currently in winter status with reduced services. The small boat ramp and shore provide easy access for small boats and paddlecraft. Contact Bly Ranger District for current conditions. Fremont-Winema National Forest - Offices (usda.gov)

 Lookout Point Reservoir

  • UPDATE: The Signal Point boat ramp is open. There is approximately 10 feet of water over the bottom of the boat ramp. All other boat ramps closed for the season.

Loon Lake

  • The East Shore Day Use Area is open year-round. Paddlecraft can carry down from the Day Use Area. Loon Lake Recreation Site is closed for the season.

 Lost Creek Reservoir

  • UPDATE: Takelma has approximately 73 feet of water over the bottom of the boat ramp. This boat ramp is open year-round.  Joseph Stewart Resort and Marina are closed for the season.

 Luckiamute River

  • Luckiamute Landing is open year-round.

 McKenzie River

  • UPDATE: Armitage Park, Leaburg Landing, Hendricks Bridge, Helfrich Landing, Hamlin, Hayden Bridge, Greenwood Landing, Goodpasture, Forest Glen, Deerhorn Landing, and Bellinger Landing are closed while Lane County Parks assesses storm damage. Parks - Lane County
  • McKenzie Bridge, Silver Creek Boat Launch, Ben and Kay Dorris State Park are all open. Access is weather dependent.
  • Paradise Campground, Frissell and Bruckart Landing boating access sites are closed for the season.

 Middle Fork Willamette River

  • The Middle Fork boat ramp near the Dexter Dam is closed through the summer of 2026. The exact construction completion date is currently unknown. The closure is for the Dexter Fish Facility Upgrade.

 Millicoma River

  • Doris Place and Rooke-Higgins ramps are open.

 Neawanna Creek

  • Broadway Park boating access is open.

 Necanicum River

  • Quatat Marine Park and Cartwright Park boating access sites in Seaside are open.

 Nehalem River

  • Use of the Wheeler docks is closed due to a large amount of sediment deposited under the docks. The City is working through an emergency permitting process to dredge the sediment.  Wheeler boat ramp is closed for the season.

 Nestucca

  • Drift boat ramps on the North Coast Rivers are usable but may have heavy silt build up on the ramp. ODFW is currently mobilizing cleanup efforts.

 North Santiam River

  • Buell Miller, Lyons-Mehama and Stayton Bridge boating access are open year-round.
  • Fishermen's Bend Recreation Site has limited day use; no camping or dump station is available.
  • Greens Bridge access is closed. Anglers who wish to launch or retrieve from this site must apply for a key by calling the local ODFW office at (541) 757-4186 and provide your fishing license number.

 North Umpqua River

  • Bogus Creek raft launch is closed from the Archie Creek fire. The U.S. Forest Service is working on plans to rebuild the boating access.

 Ochoco Lake

  • UPDATE: The reservoir is 35% full. The boat launch is open. Water is too low for trailered launch. Paddlers can carry down. Ochoco Lake | CCPRD

 Odell Lake

  • UPDATE: Sunset Cove boat launch is open. Princess Creek and Trapper Creek boat launches are closed for the season.

 Pacific Ocean

  • Sunset Bay State Park campground is open.

 Paulina Lake

  • Paulina Lake Road is closed at the ten-mile snow park gate. Little Crater and Paulina Lake campgrounds and day use are closed for the season.

 Phillips Reservoir

  • Union Creek, Mason and Black Mountain Road boat ramps are closed for the season.

 Pilcher Creek Reservoir

  • The County ramp is open. Winter conditions may affect access.

 Prineville Reservoir

  • Prineville State Park Day Use is open and currently has 20 feet of water over the end of the ramp. The boarding dock is available. Water services are turned off. Vault or portable restrooms are available. Please plan ahead and bring your own water. The reservoir is 59% full.
  • Powderhouse Cove ramp, Jasper Point boat ramp are closed for the season and both floating restrooms have been removed for the season.

 Rogue River

  • Baker Park is open. Construction of the new restroom at Baker Park Boat Launch is expected to begin the first week of January.  Expect limited delays for using the launch as well as a one-day closure for the demolition of the current restroom.  Public notice will be given before the one-day closure, please check the City of Grants Pass website and social media pages for updates.
  • TouVelle and Valley of the Rogue State Parks are open. Casey, Upper Rogue Regional Park (Shady Cove), Rogue Elk, Dodge Bridge, Dees Landing (Coyote Evans Wayside), Baker Park, Riverside Park, and Rand boating access is open, depending on weather conditions.
  • The vault toilets at Hog Creek, Galice, Griffin Park, and Ferry Hole are closed for the season, but the boat ramps are open.
  • Access at Argo Recreation Site is closed until further notice due to the Rum Creek Fire. The road is closed just past Alameda Campground to the Grave Creek Bridge.

 Scappoose Bay

  • Scappoose Bay Marina and boat ramp are open. The Marina will undergo improvements to the boat ramp approach and parking areas. Improvements will include installation of new pay stations, additional parking, wider sidewalks, paving, curbing, and striping. Construction anticipated to begin late winter, through spring 2024. Normal traffic routes and access may be interrupted.

 Siletz River

  • Moonshine Boat Ramp, Old Mill Park and Hee Hee Illahee are open.

 Siltcoos Lake

  • Westlake County Park is open.

 Siuslaw River

  • UPDATE: Schindler, Tiernan, Konnie Memorial, Tide County Parks, Mapleton, Bender Landing, Farnham, Linslaw, and Deadwood are closed while Lane County Parks assesses damage. . Parks - Lane County

 Skipanon River

  • Warrenton Marina is open.

 Smith Reservoir

  • Smith Reservoir area including Lakes End Campground and boat launch will remain closed until 2026 as part of EWEB's work to retrofit, refurbish and upgrade equipment at the Carmen-Smith Hydroelectric facility. The McKenzie River Trail and associated trailheads will remain open throughout the reconstruction period, wildfire closures permitting.

 Snake River

  • Nyssa boat ramp and docks are open. There are large voids between the boat ramp concrete planks. Use caution when launching and retrieving.
  • Dug Bar and Pittsburg Landing Campground are open.

 Spring Creek

  • Collier Memorial Park campground, and Spring Creek Day Use are closed for the season.

 Suttle Lake

  • Link Creek, South Shore, and Blue Bay Campgrounds are closed for the season.

 Tahkenitch Lake

  • Tahkenitch Campground is closed for the season. The Day Use and boat launch are available, depending on the weather. The right half of the ramp is closed for safety concerns.

 Tenmile Lake

  • Tenmile County Ramp is open.

 Thief Valley Reservoir

  • UPDATE: The County ramp is open. Winter conditions may affect access. The reservoir is approximately 87% full.

 Tillamook Bay

  • All Port of Garibaldi facilities are open.

 Timothy Lake

  • Stone Creek, Oak Fork, Gone Creek, and North Arm are closed for the season.
  • Pine Point and West Shore Day Use areas are open year-round. Inaccessible by vehicle in winter due to snow. The lake is at winter levels. Beware of submerged hazards such as rocks and stumps.

 Toketee Lake

  • Toketee Lake Campground and boat ramp are open.

 Trail Bridge Reservoir

  • The campground and launch will remain closed until 2026 as part of EWEB's work to retrofit, refurbish and upgrade equipment at our Carmen-Smith Hydroelectric facility. The McKenzie River Trail and associated trailheads will remain open throughout the reconstruction period, wildfire closures permitting.

 Trask River

  • Drift boat ramps on the North Coast Rivers are usable but may have heavy silt build up on the ramp. ODFW is currently mobilizing cleanup efforts.
  • High water and flooding caused sediment and debris buildup at Carnahan Park and the boat ramp. The City of Tillamook's Street Division crew is hard at work maintaining and repairing any damage caused by adverse weather.  Carnahan Park is open, but please be mindful of employees, equipment, and debris.

 Triangle Lake

  • Triangle Lake Park is open, weather dependent.

 Trojan Pond

  • Trojan Park is open year-round for paddling and day use.

 Tualatin River

  • NEW:  The recent snow and ice have damaged trees,  the river will have an increased amount of debris.  Use caution and keep a lookout when boating.
  • The floating dock at Rood Bridge Park has been removed for the season.

 Turner Lake

  • North Turner Lake boat ramp is open, weather dependent.

 Umpqua River

  • Bumble Bee and Rainbow Plaza boat launches are open. The restrooms and fish cleaning station are reduced to daylight hours for the season.
  • Salmon Harbor Marina is open and pumpout and dump station are operational.
  • Scottsburg Park ramp is open.

 Upper Klamath Lake

  • UPDATE: Odessa campground is closed.
  • Rocky Point Boat Launch ramps and docks are open with reduced services in the off season.
  • Wocus Bay ramp is open. ODOT has begun construction on Highway 140 and has set up their office in the parking lot. Boarding docks have been removed for the season.

 Unity Reservoir

  • The State Park Day Use boat ramp is open. Currently there is 12 feet of water over the bottom of the boat ramp.

 Vee Lake

  • Vee Lake boat launch is open with reduced services in the off season. This is a great place for small boats and paddlecraft.

 Waldo Lake

  • Shadow Bay Day Use and boating access are open.  North Waldo, Blair Lake, Shadow Bay, and Islet Campgrounds and boat launches are closed. fseprd1049655.pdf (usda.gov)

 Wallowa Lake

  • UPDATE: Wallowa County Park is open. Heavy snow drifts are impacting roads across Wallowa County. Road crews are prioritizing critical routes and working to clear the remaining areas.
  • Wallowa Lake State Park is open. The boarding docks have been removed. The boat ramp is open.

 Warm Springs Reservoir

  • The boat ramp is open, with approximately nine feet of water over the bottom of the boat ramp. Please avoid power loading your boat on and from your trailer. Power loading and unloading can damage the lower portion of the boat ramp causing expensive repairs and permitting.

 Wickiup Reservoir

  • The reservoir is 51% full and the North Wickiup Boating Site is open, depending on weather.

 Lower Willamette (Columbia River to Willamette Falls)

  • The Oregon Department of State Lands has approved the extension of a five-year closure to overnight camping and campfires at approximately river mile 13.75 near the Ross Island Bridge. The closure will be effective until December 18, 2028. http://www.oregon.gov/dsl/Documents/Zidell_Map.pdf  
  • Cedaroak Boat ramp is open year-round. Four boarding dock sections have been removed for the winter.
  • Jon Storm Park's pumpout and dump station are in service. The dock is open. The restrooms are closed due to severe vandalism. The parking lot will be closed until completion of the I-205 bridge widening project.
  • Sportcraft Landing is open. The ODOT bridge contractor is working, so watch for barges and work boats in the area.

 Middle Willamette (Willamette Falls to Salem)

  • UPDATE: The Filbert Grove and Mission Lake Day-use Areas are closed due to flooding. The restroom is closed for the winter, and A Dock is closed for removal. Special Notices – Oregon State Parks
  • Bernert Landing is open.
  • Milwaukie Bay Park has removed all but five of the boarding docks for the season.
  • Hebb Park ramp is open. The docks have been removed for the season.
  • Rogers Landing boating access site is open.  Paddlers are encouraged to use the beach area at the end of the access road.  This area is near the single car parking area and restroom.
  • Champoeg State Park paddle launch dock is bent. The dock is open for use year-round. The gate closes seasonally from October through April. Paddlers are welcome to carry down to launch.

 Upper Willamette (Salem to Eugene)

  • UPDATE: Whitely Landing is closed while Lane County Parks assesses damage. . Parks - Lane County
  • Buena Vista County Park is open.
  • Willamette Park in Corvallis (Crystal Lake) boat ramp is open. The dock has been removed for the season.
     
  • McCartney Boat Ramp, Peoria Park Boat Ramp and Harrisburg are open.

 Willamette River - Coast Fork

  • The Highway 58 bridge at Dilley Lane is part of the larger Lower Salt Creek Bridge project for seismic retrofits and scour protection. The boating access will be closed during construction. The Federal Highway Administration is working with the contractor for an anticipated schedule.  Willamette River – Middle Fork

  • The Middle Fork boat ramp near the Dexter Dam is closed through the summer of 2026. The exact construction completion date is unknown. The closure is for the Dexter Fish Facility Upgrade.

 Willamette River – North Fork of the Middle Fork

  • The Westfir take-out, also known as Turtle Island Park, is closed for the season.

 Willow Creek Reservoir

  • Willow Creek Campground and ramp are open year-round with reduced services in the off season.

 Wilson River

  • Drift boat ramps on the North Coast Rivers are usable but may have heavy silt build up on the ramp. ODFW is currently mobilizing cleanup efforts.

 Woahink Lake

  • East Woahink Lake boat ramp is open year-round.

 Wolf Creek Reservoir
