 The primary purpose of the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists is consumer protection. The Board accomplishes this purpose by establishing licensing requirements that include minimum standards for education, experience and passage of a national examination; establishing a Code of Ethics for licensed professional counselors and licensed marriage and family therapists; requiring continuing education; and investigating and resolving complaints. |
