Backgound Information

The Oregon Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan is a "modal plan" of the larger Oregon Transportation Plan (http://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/TD/TP/ortransplanupdate.shtml), which covers all forms of transportation in Oregon.  It was adopted in 1995. This is the first major update since that time. Many new pedestrian and bicycle treatments have been developed and incorporated into this update.

This update covers the DESIGN sections only, i.e. PART TWO. The planning, policy and other miscellaneous sections will be updated in future.  Comments are no longer being accepted.  The final document will be issued for adoption by the Oregon Transportation Commission in 2008.
