Current Openings

We hire engineers, surveyors, right of way agents and others through the ODOT Graduate Program. Applicants tend to be college seniors or recent graduates, and jobs are generally posted each year in October.

This program is a key part of our recruitment and retention strategy. It ensures a strong future workforce by recruiting early career professionals and is designed to develop recent graduates into subject matter experts.

Participants are regular, full-time, salaried employees. A registered professional provides mentoring for engineering and surveying positions, and the entire experience can provide up to two years’ qualifying time towards obtaining a professional license.

Graduate program participants are provided with a series of rotational assignments that introduce them to a variety of experiences within ODOT prior to settling into a permanent role. There are typically three to four six-month rotations, which are intentionally left flexible to meet the needs of the individual as well as the agency.
