A project will begin in April 2015 to remove rust and repair & repaint the Tualatin River Bridge on OR99W in the southbound direction only. The bridge is located between King City and Tualatin.
The Tualatin River Bridge was built in 1929. Recent bridge inspections discovered rust between the gusset plates and steel members. A weight limit on the bridge is currently posted but will be lifted after the project is complete.
Other project elements include disposing of the lead paint using a containment platform. The majority of the work will take place under the southbound bridge. Travelers should expect intermittent lane closures on OR99W southbound during construction.
