ODOT will start construction in March 2013 on a new portion of the I-205 Shared-Use Path at SE Division Street. The project will provide bicyclists and pedestrians with a route under Division Street as an alternative to the existing signalized crossing.
The alternate route will split from the existing Shared-Use Path approximately 600 feet north of Division Street, cross under Division next to the MAX Green Line, and reconnect with the Shared Use Path at the north end of the Division Street MAX stop. Path users will have a non-stop connection, without the need to wait for the signal at the Division Street crosswalk.
During construction, bicyclists and pedestrians using the I-205 Shared-Use Path are advised to ride and walk slowly and be aware of construction activities.
Join ODOT staff at an open house on February 20 to answer questions about the project and provide information on construction impacts to users and residents.
