The following is a brief description of each “bundle,” or set of bridge projects, included in the Columbia River Gorge corridor.
I-84 Sandy River to Jordan Road--In Progress
Located at the western gateway to the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, the project replaces two bridges and repairs two others. Construction is under way and is expected to be completed in fall 2014. For more information check the project web site and

I-84 Dodson to Tanner Creek--Completed
This project replaced one bridge and repaired three bridges, just west of Cascade Locks near Bonneville Dam, Ainsworth State Park and John B. Yeon State Park. These bridges were completed in October 2010. Click here for completion information.
I-84 Exit 64 (Hood River)--Completed
Originally built in 1953, the freeway bridge at exit 64 carries both eastbound and westbound traffic. The exit 64 interchange connects Oregon 35, Interstate 84 and the Hood River Bridge crossing the Columbia River. Construction to replace the bridge and modernize the interchange is underway and is expected to be completed in fall 2011. Project Information
