U.S. 30: Havlik Drive Extension
Project Information
The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), in conjunction with the City of Scappoose, has completed a construction project to add a 4th leg to the intersection of U.S. 30 and Havlik Drive in Scappoose.  Prior to this project, Havlik Drive ended at the west side of U.S. 30.  Now, Havlik Drive continues across U.S. 30 and the railroad tracks and connects to an extension of 2nd St.  A signalized railroad crossing was built on the newly constructed section of Havlik Drive.  Two railroad crossings in Scappoose were closed as part of this project on Santosh Street and Candlestick Access.

The project began December 2009 and was completed May 2011.

This project used federal stimulus funds – $4.2 million of the $5 million project was funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).

Thank you to those who attended the ribbon cutting ceremony on May 6.  The new sections of Havlik Drive and 2nd Street opened May 9, 2011.
