Oregon 234-Rock Point Bridge

What is ODOT planning to do?
Rehabilitate this historic Conde McCullough bridge, completed in 1920.
 
Upgrade the deck, repair cracked/spalled concrete and replace the concrete railings.

 
When does construction begin?
After Labor Day with a full bridge closure that is expected to last no more than 9 months.
 
 
How will I be affected?  Because the bridge will be closed to complete the work, detours will be in place at Gold Hill Exit 40 and 45. Detour signing is in place, including Travel Information sign.
 
Project Location: Off of I-5, Exit 43. Oregon 234-Sams Valley Hwy.- MP .09-.11
 
Contractor:  Wildish Standard Paving, Eugene
 
Construction Starts:  Summer/Fall 2009- Complete Spring 2010
