US 97 between mile point 149.48 (Lava Butte) and 155 (Vandervert Drive) in Deschutes County
Proposed Project Schedule:
Begin final design: Summer 2006
Bid/Let the project: Spring 2007
Begin construction: Summer 2007
Project Description:
US 97 between Lava Butte and Verdervert Road is at capacity and exceeds volume to capacity standards. A possible solution is to add two additional travel lanes from Lava Butte to South Century Drive, assess direct at-grade access to the highway, and build frontage roads from interchanges to maintain access along the corridor.
