ODOT Invites Community to Terrebonne Public Meeting

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) invites community members to attend a public meeting about future improvements to US 97 from the Crooked River Bridge to the north limits of Redmond. The meeting is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 25 at Terrebonne Elementary School.

During the meeting, ODOT team members will introduce the purpose and goals of the project and will give an overview of the decision-making process. Community members will have the opportunity to give early input on issues within the project limits, such as access needs at NW 10th Street, Wimp Way, Lower Bride Way and Terrebonne. Attendees may be split into smaller groups that focus on specific subjects.  In addition, people will be asked for input about how to involve individuals, communities, and the general public during the rest of the project.

The US 97 Crooked River Bridge to Redmond Reroute Project is being developed to replace aging pavement and increase shoulder widths on the highway. The project may also include replacing guardrail, upgrading mailbox supports, constructing turnouts and addressing access and safety needs in the area.

The elementary school is located at 1199 B Ave., Terrebonne.
