Public invited to comment on Statewide Transportation Improvement Program
The community is invited to join Oregon Department of Transportation team members to comment on the Draft 2008-2011 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). The open house is from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7 in the Lyons Room of the Deschutes Services Center, 1100 NW Wall St., Bend.
The STIP is the funding and scheduling document for major road, highway and transit projects in Oregon for the next four years. The STIP shows which projects in the area are anticipated to receive funding.
Public comments will also be accepted during the Central Oregon Area Commission on Transportation (COACT) meeting from 3-3:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9 at Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council (COIC) Building board room, 2363 SW Glacier Place, Redmond.
