Sisters Area Passing Lane Open House
Public Invited to Review Proposed Plans and Provide Comments
The Oregon Department of Transportation invites the public to an Open House to examine project plans and to gather and share information about the proposed US 20 Cold Springs Cutoff Road to Cascade Meadow Ranch Road Passing Lane Project. Attendees are invited to drop by the Sisters Inn & RV Conference Room located at 5410 Highway 20 west on Thursday, May 11 any time between 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. ODOT staff will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
The project proposes to construct a passing lane section and a center turn lane. The proposed passing lane will be located between mile points 96.0 and 98.0 (west/north of Sisters). The proposed center turn lane will be constructed at the intersection of Cold Springs Cutoff Road and US 20. The addition of the new passing lane and center turn lane is expected to improve motorist safety on the highway.
Construction of the proposed project is anticipated to begin during the summer of 2007.
