Winter Travel Conditions Available via Phone, Internet, TV
The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) offers three easy ways to gather the information you will need before you head out this winter: via the internet, by phone, and on cable television. For the most up-to-date information, Oregon State Police and ODOT encourage residents to utilize these travel condition tools before calling their local offices.
Via the Internet
For travel conditions via the internet, visit ODOT’s travel website, TripCheck.com. The TripCheck.com website offers road condition, weather, and maintenance and traffic reports. Camera images give visitors a snapshot of current weather and road conditions from across the state. Users can build their own custom camera page to check specific routes at a glance.
TripCheck.com offers many features including a mileage calculator, detailed information about scenic byways, safety rest areas, and SnoParks as well as links to bus, airport, train, bicycle, and trucking information.
By Phone
Travelers in Oregon can dial 511 to access TripCheck’s road and weather information
