DEQ held five workshops between July 2022 and January 2023 to identify and analyze options for modernizing Oregon's E-Cycles Program through legislation anticipated in 2023. DEQ engaged the Product Stewardship Institute to assist in facilitating these workshops.
The content of the original legislative concept developed last fall and presented in the workshops has been introduced in House Bill 3220. DEQ will seek an amendment to HB 3220 that reflects input from workshop participants, in the final workshops. Summaries of input received and changes being sought in the amendment are available here:
