The SEED Guideline Appendix L has been revised to encompass changes to the 2010 Oregon Energy Efficiency Specialty Code. The Guideline Appendix L Revised October 1, 2010 version must be used for all SEED projects with building permits dated October 1, 2010 or later.

The Guidelines are periodically updated and it is the responsibility of the Energy Analyst to make certain he/she is using the most current version of the Building Modeling Guidelines.

It is the policy of the State of Oregon that facilities to be constructed or purchased by authorized state agencies be designed, constructed, renovated and operated so as to minimize the use of nonrenewable energy resources and to serve as models of energy efficiency.

In addition, the 2007 Oregon Legislature passed HB2620 which requires that public entities spend 1.5% of the total contract price of a public improvement contract for new construction or major renovation of a public building on solar energy technology.
