Operation and Maintenance Manuals
All new stormwater management facilities are required to have an operation and maintenance (O&M) manual.
Guidance on how to prepare O&M manuals can be found in Chapter 4 of the Hydraulics Manual and GE16-02(B).

Completed O&M manuals for individual stormwater management facilities can be found by selecting a SMF icon in
TransGIS. Refer to the 'Accessing Stormwater Features Inventory' section above for instructions on accessing
SMFs.
Maintenance Tables
Recommended maintenance for specific stormwater management facilities is summarized in the following series of
tables. Maintenance actions depend on the facility type.
Standard Operation Manuals
Standard operation manuals (SOMs) define the components, purpose, and operation of commonly used water
quality facilities. SOMs are used as a guide to identify water quality facilities and gain a better understanding of how
each facility operates.
