Tribal Relations

About the Program

The Tribal Affairs Program guides our intergovernmental relationships with tribal governments to positively advance ODOT's mission and values for the benefit of all Oregonians. Tribal Affairs staff work statewide on all kinds of transportation issues related to tribal relations. They serve as liaisons with tribal governments and work to develop partnerships between tribal governments and the agency. They provide support and advice to our transportation partners, ensuring tribal perspectives are considered, valued, and integrated, and that tribal government needs are met. This happens through formal government to government consultation, and tribal coordination. We also have tribal liaisons in each of our project delivery regions
