U.S. 26: Glencoe to MP 53 Paving Project

Project Completed

Region 1: Portland metro and Hood River County (North Plains, Washington)

ODOT made several improvements to U.S. 26 (Sunset Highway) between NW Glencoe Road and Mile Post 53 in 2017. This project is complete.



Design - Spring through December 2016 - complete
Construction - Spring through Fall 2017 - complete



Key elements of the work included:
  • Repaving both directions of U.S. 26.
  • Repaving some of the NW Wilson River Highway (OR 6) and the NW Dersham Road interchange ramps (Ramp work will require nighttime detours).
  • Adding cable median barrier.
  • Adding rumble strips.
  • Resurfacing four highway bridges.
  • Repaving the weigh station.
