Jackson-Josephine 2022-'23 ADA Projects

Region 3: Southwestern Oregon (Ashland, Grants Pass, Jacksonville, Medford, Phoenix, Talent, Jackson, Josephine)


​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​This project constructs ADA compliant curb ramps in 2022-2023 on state highways such as OR 99 and other key Rogue Valley intersections.


Impacts

Traffic Impact

​Watch for shoulder and lane closures as needed depending on the project stage.

Construction Impacts

​In Ashland, contractor Granite Construction is completing final work including striping and clean up.

In Grants Pass, project is complete.

Schedule

​Contract end dates March 2023 for  the Grants Pass work and June 30, 2023 in Ashland.

Expect additional curb ramp construction in the Rogue Valley in 2024, 2026 and 2027.

​​Modifying hundreds of curb ramps to meet ADA requirements on state highways in the Rogue Valley.

OR 99 | ​​Grants Pass and White City Area ADA projects - beginning March 2022-2023
35 Grants Pass area intersections.
Ashland, Talent, Phoenix and south Medford area ADA projects - beginning March 2022

Grants Pass White City area project:  Brown Contracting, Inc.: $3.7 million 

Ashland, Talent, Phoenix, south Medford area: Granite Construction, $4.8 million

Benefits

​These intersecton curb ramps will be constructed for safety and to built to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

What Problem Will This Improve?

​Hundred​s of intersection curb ramps do not comply with the current Americans  with Disabilities Act requirements. We're working to to make these intersections available to everyone!
