Surveillance and Data Utilization

Routine surveillance data from case investigations of people with viral hepatitis are useful for monitoring trends in transmission. They help local and state public health agencies develop better prevention and control strategies. They also help public health, health systems, and community partners develop policies and programs that reach persons at risk and currently living with viral hepatitis. Sharing data annually will allow public health to track our efforts towards elimination of viral hepatitis in Oregon.

The ACDP Dashboard reports the latest data on reportable diseases in Oregon. To see our current viral hepatitis data, select hepatitis A, B or C from the dropdown menu.

Weekly: Displays case counts by report week and compares current surveillance data to historical trends.

Monthly: Breaks down cases for a variety of disease by county, month and year of occurrence, age group, race and ethnicity.

We are improving our collection of data on race, ethnicity, language and disability (REALD). REALD data collection and reporting requirements help the state understand which communities are most impacted by viral hepatitis, so they can get more funding and services.
