Licenses, Registrations, Permits, and Training

An auction market is a place of business where the public may consign livestock to be sold in auction open to public bidding or on a commission basis. Any person, either as owner or lessee, who wishes to operate such a market must get a livestock auction market license from the Oregon Department of Agriculture.

Oregon has nine licensed livestock auction markets:

  • Central Oregon Livestock Auction, Inc., Madras
  • Eugene Livestock Auction, Inc., Eugene
  • Intermountain Livestock, Inc., LaGrande
  • Klamath Livestock Auction, Inc., Klamath Falls
  • Lebanon Auction Yard, Lebanon
  • Mike's Livestock Auction, Cave Junction
  • Northwestern Livestock Commission Co., Hermiston
  • Producers Livestock Marketing Assn., Vale
  • Woodburn Livestock Exchange, LLC, Woodburn​
