BCU provides background check services and support to all DHS and Oregon Health Authority (OHA) divisions for employment purposes, for those who provide services or seek to provide services as a contractor, subcontractor, vendor or volunteer, or are employed by qualified entities that provide care and are licensed, certified, registered or otherwise regulated by DHS or OHA.
A variance is an exception to a specific requirement as described in Oregon Administrative Rule. It describes a specific alternative practice that continues to meet the individual’s support needs.
A Capacity Change Request is a formal request to increase or decrease the licensed capacity of a 24-hour residential site.

Medicaid-certified agencies and/or licensed providers must stay in continued compliance with all Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) applicable to their credentials. Corrective Action happens when a licensing violation is noted or an abuse investigation is substantiated.
