Laws, rules, and ethics courses

This page lists online courses approved by the Oregon Board of Optometry that satisfy the Law and Ethics continuing education requirement.

About the Law and Ethics CE Requirement

Licensees must complete one hour of Law and Ethics continuing education every two years using Board-approved courses.

Another way to earn Law and Ethics credit is by attending at least one hour of an Oregon Board of Optometry Board meeting.

Additional Option

  • Pass the NBEO Oregon online law exam for 1 hour of CE credit.

Important Notes

  • Courses designated COPE Category EJ are not automatically approved.
  • Only courses listed on this page or on the Board’s approved course list meet the Law and Ethics requirement.
  • Licensees should retain documentation of course completion for their records.
