Board Update: Licensee Reminders and Portal Guidance

Published: May 20, 2025

The Oregon Board of Optometry is sharing general reminders and guidance to support licensees in maintaining accurate records and using the licensing portal effectively.

Keep Your Information Up to Date

Licensees are required to keep their contact information current in the licensing system.

  • Update your legal address of record promptly
  • Ensure your email address is current

Updates should be made within required timeframes to avoid potential late reporting issues.

Using the Licensee Portal

The licensee portal allows you to manage and update your information. Common updates include:

  • Maintaining personal and contact information
  • Entering continuing education (CE) information
  • Reviewing license details

Continuing Education (CE) Reminders

Be sure to enter continuing education (CE) information accurately and keep records of course completion.

Accurate CE reporting helps ensure your license remains in good standing and supports a smooth renewal process.

General Compliance Reminders

  • Follow all current Board rules and requirements
  • Maintain documentation as needed
  • Respond promptly to any Board communications

Stay Informed

Regularly reviewing updates from the Board can help you stay informed about changes to requirements, systems, or processes.
