Members of the Oregon Board of Optometry are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Governor.
The term of office of each member is three years.
A member is eligible for reappointment to a second term.

Board Member Selection Criteria
In selecting the members of the Board, the Governor shall strive to balance representation on the Board according to geographic areas of this state, by ethnic group, and other diversity measures.
