The Oregon Board of Optometry (OBO) is the state agency that regulates the practice of optometry in Oregon. OBO adopts rules and policies that guide the professional practice of optometry statewide. Our mission is to protect the people of Oregon by preventing unqualified or improper optometric care.

Consumer Notice: Education on the danger of unprescribed contact lenses

The Oregon Board of Optometry is educating patients and Oregonians about the dangers of unprescribed contact lenses. Some of these are the costume lenses available for Halloween or parties. The guides below provide information to help consumers understand their prescription rights.
