Dead Animal Transportation License

This license is specifically for businesses without their own disposal facility, and is required for hauling dead animals, carcasses, or parts of animals on state highways. The holding area of the vehicle must be watertight and constructed that no drippings or seepings can escape therefrom. The bodies, carcasses or parts of animals shall not be removed from the vehicle except at the place of final disposition unless at a licensed Assembly Plant. In the case of transporting offal or parts of bodies from slaughterhouses or other places, the containers in which they are transported must have tight covers and be kept in a sanitary condition.

Fee: $10 per vehicle. Licensing year runs July 1 through June 30.

See the Assembly Plant License page for refrigerated collection point licensing.
