Progress reports

As of November 2025, this report is provided quarterly and offers expanded information.

Background

In March 2018, former Governor Kate Brown requested a monthly progress report on Child Welfare. In April 2019, the Child Welfare Oversight Board was created under Executive Order No. 19-03 to assist the Governor in making and implementing recommendations to improve Oregon's system for supporting safe children and thriving families. In 2020, these reports were revised to share progress on the Vision for Transformation and directives from the Governor and the Child Welfare Advisory Board. In November 2025, these reports were updated to provide expanded data on a quarterly basis.
