Roadside Enforcement and Safety Compliance

Manages safety compliance of commercial motor vehicles (CMV) on Oregon highways. Regulation is accomplished through driver and vehicle inspections, size and weight enforcement, compliance reviews, public education campaigns, data collection and other safety related activities. Rail Safety and Regulatory Program

Oversees Oregon rail operations to ensure the structural safety of railroad cars, equipment, track, crossings, signals and to maintain a safe environment for railroad employees. We also monitor the safety compliance of light rail, streetcar and trolley service providers.
