Behavioral Health

Mental Health in Focus

Behavioral health is a critical component of overall well-being for firefighters and first responders in the Oregon fire service. We recognize the unique challenges and stressors faced by these courageous individuals in the line of duty and offer essential resources to support their mental and emotional health.

This line of work can take a toll on mental health, leading to issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. By addressing these challenges proactively and promoting a culture of self-care and resilience, we will empower firefighters to prioritize their mental health.

This page offers resources and educational materials designed to raise awareness about behavioral health issues, and provides practical coping strategies. By fostering an environment of open communication and support, we strive to ensure that Oregon's fire service have the resources they need to thrive both on and off the job.
