Skillsoft Updates (November 2016)

As part of the process of keeping the Skillsoft catalog up to date in both content and technology, WebJunction (who manages the content and administrative tasks) has retired 13 courses that were out of date and no longer supported by Skillsoft. These were the last courses that required the user to have Java installed, which is a technology that all the major browsers are moving away from.
11 of the 13 courses have direct replacements. Two of the technical skills courses, which have had no registrations, have been removed to make room for three new courses on topics more likely to be of interest to library staff. In the table below, the course titles in the "Added Courses" column are hyperlinked to their description page on the main Skillsoft site.
