Laboratory Locations

Our scientists collect, analyze and evaluate evidence, interpret results, and provide expert testimony concerning the full spectrum of physical evidence recovered from crime scenes. We provide analysis in biology, chemistry, trace, toxicology, DNA, latent prints, firearms and toolmarks, and we provide related technical assistance and training in a variety of professional and academic environments.

We consistently meet a challenging set of forensic science accreditation requirements while delivering the highest quality scientific analysis. We are proudly accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) in forensic testing and breath alcohol calibration to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and ANAB AR 3125. We strive for efficiency and excellence in customer service for all members of the criminal justice system.  All analysts are proficiency tested annually and casework is technically reviewed by a second analyst.  In addition, every laboratory undergoes an annual audit by the Quality Assurance Manager and an external assessment activity by ANAB.  These measures and others ensure the highest standards of reliability and accuracy.​

We are the only Oregon entity with access to the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS).  This system and the Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS) provide powerful and fast analytical support that helps our scientists work efficiently and effectively to identify people involved in crimes.
