Groundwater Advisory Committee (GWAC)

The Groundwater Advisory Committee consists of nine members appointed by the Water Resources Commission, each representing a range of interests and expertise.

The Committee advises the Commission on all matters relating to rules, legislation, and public policy for the development, securing, use and protection of ground water; licensing of well constructors, including the examination of such persons for license; and reviewing the proposed expenditures of all revenues generated under ORS 537.762 (5).

The appointment terms of three GWAC members expire each year on November 30.  There is a rolling application process for GWAC positions and letters of interest are accepted year-round. More information on the appointment of GWAC members.
