The Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision congratulates our partner agencies, the Oregon Department of Corrections and Oregon Youth Authority, on receiving Governor Kitzhaber's proclamation of May 6 - 12 as National Correctional Employees Week.

There are very few operations the Board conducts that in some way do not involve collaboration with our colleagues in the field of corrections. DOC and OYA provide the Board with professional services, assistance, counsel, and security within the institutions. At all times, the employees of these agencies are a model of professionalism and competence.

Again, congratulations on receiving this well-deserved recognition.

We paused this month to acknowledge four of our most important and long-serving staff members here at the Board. At a luncheon on March 29, 2012, the employees were honored for their combined 93 years of service to the organization.
