National recruitment for ODOE director starts Friday
Salem, Ore., May 13: An online survey launches Friday, May 16, kicking off a national effort to recruit a director for the Oregon Department of Energy. Respondents will have an opportunity to share important qualities, traits and experiences the state should consider when developing a pool of candidates to fill the open position.

Once live, a link to the survey will be posted here:

Survey responses will inform the development of recruitment criteria, in addition to targeted outreach efforts. The Department of Administrative Services plans to officially open the application window June 6, allowing four weeks for candidates to apply.

Led by the Department of Administrative Services, a steering panel will work in conjunction with the Governor’s Office to review applications, develop and perform interviews and forward a list of finalists to Governor Kitzhaber by mid-August.
