⚠️ Scam Alert
It has recently been brought to our attention that our main office phone number (503-400-6098) has been used by scammers to “spoof” licensees. Phone number spoofing occurs when a scammer makes a trusted phone number appear on caller ID, which may show our number and even “Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners.”
The scammers may claim they have a case against the licensee, sometimes involving Texas Border Patrol, and may threaten to “send someone” to your clinic. They may have your name, license number, clinic location, and phone number, as this information is publicly available.
The OBCE does not call licensees to notify them of an open case or complaint. Notification is always done in writing, on official letterhead, and sent via mail and email.
If you receive a call and suspect it is not from the OBCE, hang up immediately and contact us at info@obce.oregon.gov.
