The Gresham DMV office is closed until further notice as DMV assesses damage from a weekend fire in the building where the office is located.
The office, located at 2222 E Powell Blvd., received smoke and possibly other damage in the fire early Saturday morning. While the Gresham office is closed, DMV staff are reassigned to nearby Portland-area DMV offices.
DMV recommends that people first check www.OregonDMV.com before they visit an office in person. Customers can complete some DMV business online or find out how to prepare and make their visit as efficient as possible.
DMV recommends that Gresham-area customers who need to visit a DMV office in person use an office in Gladstone, Sandy or Southeast Portland. Customers can find office hours and locations for all DMV offices at OregonDMV.com.
