Transportation Commission meets Dec. 12 in Salem

The Oregon Transportation Commission will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, in Room 122 of the Transportation Building, 355 Capitol St. N.E. in Salem.
Commission members will be asked to approve an increase in construction authorization in the amount of $874,883 on the Oregon 99E: Division Street-Ross Island Bridge project, bringing the total authorized amount to $6.7 million.
Commissioners will be asked to grant the Oregon Department of Transportation authority to commit an Immediate Opportunity Fund grant in the amount of $500,000 to the city of Wilsonville for improvements to the Interstate 5/Wilsonville Road Interchange.
The commission will be asked to adopt two interchange area management plans: the South Medford Interchange, and the Fort Hill Interchange in Polk County.
Other items on the agenda include:
- A follow-up report on action planned by ODOT staff as a result of the April 2007 Dye Management Report.
- A monthly status report on the ConnectOregon program, Statewide Transportation Improvement Program, the Oregon Transportation Investment Acts (OTIA I and II) and the OTIA III State Bridge Delivery Program.
- A report on the Tourism/Transportation Task Force Rest Area Study.
Meetings of the Oregon Transportation Commission are open to the public. Time will be available at the meeting for commissioners to hear public comments.
