The Oregon Transportation Commission will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18, in Room 122 of the Transportation Building, 355 Capitol Street N.E., in Salem.
Commission members will be asked to approve an amendment to the State Transportation Improvement Program to list state highway system projects to be funded by the federal economic stimulus package.
The commission will consider an approval to terminate the rail contract with Central Oregon and Pacific Railroad Inc. concerning the ConnectOregon grant for Winchester Freight Rail Yard improvements.
Commissioners will be asked to approve a request to amend Commission Policy No. 10 on Federal Reauthorization Highway Program Earmark requests, and recommend projects to the congressional delegation.
Other items on the commission agenda include:
- An informational update on the Columbia River Crossing;
- A report on the Oregon Freight Advisory Committee; and
- A panel discussion with the State Aviation Board regarding funding, multi-modal connections, roles and the Oregon Transportation Plan.
Meetings of the Oregon Transportation Commission are open to the public. Time will be available at the meeting for commissioners to hear public comments.
