Transportation Commission to meet April 15 in Salem

The Oregon Transportation Commission will meet at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, in Room 122 of the Transportation Building, 355 Capitol Street N.E., in Salem.
 
Commission members will hear an update from the Public Transit Advisory Committee and will be asked to approve a list of Public Transit projects to be funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
 
Commissioners will receive an overview of the Special Transportation Area designation and will be asked to approve STA designation for the cities of Aurora and Monmouth.
 
Other items on the commission agenda include an informational update on the Global Warming Commission Report and an update on the Oregon Department of Transportation’s Sustainability Program.
 
Meetings of the Oregon Transportation Commission are open to the public. Time will be available at the meeting for commissioners to hear public comments.
