eBIDS - Frequently Asked Questions (updated 7/3/2014)
Please review the answers to frequently asked questions about your eBIDS account prior to contacting the ODOT Computer Support Desk. The most common issues can be resolved by following the instructions below. If you continue to have issues after following these instructions, contact the ODOT Computer Support Desk @ 503 986-3355.
Answer: Please check your “Spam” or “Junk Mail” folder as the activation e-mail may have been directed there by your filters. After you register a new account, the system automatically sends an “activation” e-mail message that instructs you click on the “activate account” link in the body of the e-mail.
Question: My account is locked. I cannot access eBIDS.
Answer: Please check to see if you received an “activation” e-mail from ODOT. Check your Spam/Junk Mail folder in case your spam filter redirected the email.
*Special note If you are using Google Chrome as your ISP (Internet Service Provider): eBIDS is not compatible with Chrome. If you continue to experience issues after attempting the suggestions above, please try an alternate ISP such as MS Internet Explorer (IE).
eBIDS - External Users (Contractors, Subcontractors and Suppliers)
The Electronic Bidding Information Distribution System (eBIDS) is an online tool that enables contractors, suppliers and other interested parties to locate, view and download bid-related documents for design-bid-build highway and bridge construction projects that ODOT currently has advertised to bid. ODOT eBIDS provides free downloading of bid booklets, addenda, clarification letters, plans, specifications and bid reference documents. ODOT vendors may also self-register as prime or informational plan holders on these projects.
