FHWA Contract Administration Core Curriculum – This training is provided by the Federal Highway Administration during this training season only. This training will explain basic federal aid requirements; promote awareness of FHWA policy; facilitate familiarity with changes in the Contract Administration Core Curriculum manual; and allow supervised practice activities using the manual to find information. By engaging in a variety of in-class exercises and case studies, participants become quite familiar with the Contract Administration Core Curriculum manual and learn how to best use it as a daily resource.
Inspector Symposium – This symposium includes presentations by technical experts to address the "grey" areas in applying the specifications to construction inspection. It is an information sharing workshop for experienced inspectors.
Intelligent Compaction Workshop – This is a comprehensive course on Intelligent Compaction technology, specification requirements, Veta analysis techniques, and resources available for project support. This course is developed for ODOT project management staff who will be administering an Intelligent Compaction project. Also, the information is applicable for any contractor who is constructing an Intelligent Compaction project or interested in using Intelligent Compaction on a future project.
Pavement Forum – This forum provides annual feedback/updates to ODOT personnel about what pavement-related issues have been during the past construction season. Projected issues for the upcoming construction season are discussed as well.

The information will be targeted around issues relating to ensuring that quality control is performed at the highest level on construction projects.
Structure Coatings – This class teaches basic knowledge and skills required to be a paint inspector on a structure coating project. It will help insure consistent inspection and quality compliance with the plans and specifications. This class is offered each spring before coating projects start.
Survey Verification – The Inspector Survey Verification class is intended to familiarize inspectors with the basics of surveying in order to verify construction operations. The class is not intended to teach inspectors how to be surveyors. Rather it will provide inspectors the tools to validate that the contractor has staked the project to match the plans.
