OREGON ENERGY PLANNING COUNCIL TO DISCUSS WORK PLAN

The Oregon Energy Planning Council (OEPC), established by Governor Kulongoski to examine Oregon’s future energy needs, will hold its second meeting on Thursday, May 7 from 1 to 4 p.m. in Salem.
 
At the meeting, the OEPC will review its proposed work plan, and discuss a draft framework for moving forward with the Governor’s goals, which includes issuing a report by December 2010. The OEPC will also hear an overview of the State’s energy facility siting process.
Chair of the Oregon Energy Planning Council is Ron Adams, Dean of the Oregon State University College of Engineering. There are 10 other voting members and 12 ex-officio (non-voting) members. The complete list of members can be found at: www.oregon.gov/ENERGY/RENEW/OEPC/OEPC_Members.shtml 
The meeting is open to the public and will be held at the Labor and Industries Building, 350 Winter St. NE, Salem, Conference Room F.
