The Advisory Committee of the Oregon Department of Energy’s State Energy Loan Program (SELP) will meet at 10 a.m. on June 15th in Portland to review five loan applications.
Falls Creek HP, LP has submitted a request for $499,000 to finance a roof-mounted solar array project at the Food For Lane County facility in Eugene.
The second application comes from BioChar Global Solutions, LLC for $12 million. The loan would finance construction of a biomass waste pyrolysis facility to generate electricity in White City.
A third application comes from Morasch Meats for $875,500. The loan would finance a 185 MW solar array on a commercial building in Portland.
A fourth application comes from EBD Hydro LLC for $7.2 million. The loan would finance installation of a 5MW hydroelectric facility near Madras.
A final application is for $5 million from Revolt Technology, LLC to finance a project to design, demonstrate, and manufacture a rechargeable zinc-air battery. Location of the facility is not yet determined.
The public meeting will be held at the PNGC building, 711 NE Halsey St. in Portland. Bob Repine, Department of Energy Acting Director, will make the final decision on the loan requests after reviewing the Committee’s recommendation.
SELP makes long-term, fixed-rate loans to governments, tribes, schools, non-profit organizations, businesses and individuals to finance Oregon projects that conserve energy or use renewable resources.
