Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE) will hold a second public meeting on Residential Tax Credit (RETC) rulemaking for solar electric systems on Tuesday, Sept. 28 in Salem.
ODOE is evaluating current RETC rules and taking public comments as part of the permanent rulemaking process.
The agenda includes a continuation of the discussion on solar installations, including a potential leasing model for renewable energy systems. Additional discussion will cover proposed rule language and potential formulas that could be used if the program returned to a capacity-based incentive model; and solar technician certification. A complete agenda is posted at http://www.oregon.gov/ENERGY/CONS/RES/tax/docs/Rulemaking/RETC_Rulemaking_Agenda_PubMtgNotice-92810.pdf.
