SALEM—The Oregon Department of Energy’s State Energy Loan Program Advisory Committee (SELPAC) will meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13, in Portland to review two loan applications. The public meeting will be held at the Portland State Office Building (800 Oregon St.).
The first application comes from SoloPower, which is requesting $20 million to fund a 75-megawatt, thin-film solar manufacturing plant in Wilsonville. The second application is from Rogue Creamery, which is requesting $800,000 to fund a 57.96-kilowatt solar array on its manufacturing facility in Central Point.
Bob Repine, Director of the Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE), will make the final decision on the requests after reviewing SELPAC’s recommendations.
The State Energy Loan Program (SELP) makes long-term, fixed-rate loans to governments, tribes, schools, non-profit organizations, businesses and individuals to finance Oregon projects that conserve energy or use renewable resources.
