SALEM — Applications are now available for Renewable Energy Development Grants through the Oregon Department of Energy. The applications will be evaluated on the criteria in the opportunity announcement, with all technologies being evaluated against each other.
Approximately $450,000 is now available for these systems on a competitive basis. Under this new program, renewable energy development systems may qualify for a grant of up to $250,000, which cannot exceed 35 percent of system cost. However, systems operating under the Feed-In Tariff program (ORS 757.365) are not eligible.
Application materials can be found on the ODOE website at: www.oregon.gov/ENERGY/BUSINESS/Incentives. The filing deadline is April 2, 2012. There is a $200 application fee and a technical review fee, which is 1.05 percent of system cost.
Applications must be delivered via U.S. Mail to:
Oregon Department of Energy
P.O. Box 2008
Salem, OR 97308
