Shepherds Flat Central

Facility: Shepherds Flat Central is a wind energy facility with an average electric generating capacity of up to 97 megawatts and a peak generating capacity of not more than 290 megawatts. The facility 116 wind turbines.

Status (Operating): Operations began on Aug. 9, 2012.

Location: Gilliam and Morrow counties, south of Interstate 84 and east of Arlington.

Site Certificate Holder: South Hurlburt Wind, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Caithness Energy, LLC, a subsidiary of Caithness Equities Corporation.
